Default Regarding Spoonie

Does anybody know this person on this location?

I bought a diff from this guy last month and he disclosed that the pinion and ring were bad and needed to be replaced by the shop that inspected it.
So I was ok with that since I am installing my 4.77 anyways and they needed to be taken off the diff.
It turns out that when I took the diff to the shop that was going to install the gears for me that there was more damages to the diff.
The cap that holds the LSD were broken in two pieces and some parts from the pinion and ring that broke off went inside the LSD.
The diff is pretty much junk and I cannot use it all!
I do not know what kind of driving this guy did to break the parts but it was pretty bad.

Branded did not disclose this problem with the cap and LSD and I want my money back but he is telling me that I cannot return this diff and he is applying the as-is no return policy on me even though he knows about the problem.

So did I just get totally screwed here or not? Should I just pretty much bend over and take it from the back from what he is telling me on PM's?

I will post pics of the damage when I get home later.

I'll bring the Astroglide!

Buyer beware on this stuff.

You bought it broken and now you have a problem with it being more broken than what he said it was. If it's broke, it's broke and I can understand him stating as-is.

I met him once and he seemed very nice and straitforward. He bought my Brides and the transaction was flawless.
Sorry the same did not happen for you.
I don't know where to stand on an iffy situation like posted.

I am aware of buying used parts and not getting any warranty or money back on them but the issue here is not disclosing the other factors that you are not informing your buyer. I was told that the rest of the part was OK, meaning that it functions and can be used so I went ahead and accepted that but to find out that the remainder of the parts were damaged is not OK since I cannot use it at all.
I'm getting robbed blindedly here for my hard earned money.

Who would want to buy this POS in the beginning had you know that the remainder of what this seller is selling is junk? NO ONE!

I am doing something about this but I want you guys to be aware of what kind of people you deal with here and who they are.

So beware of Spoonie if you are going to deal with this person

I agree with you space cowboy.

In all fairness, if he didn't know it was junk... I'd say send it back to him with the agreement of 50% refund for the effort he took to ship it to you in the first place + you don't know for sure if he had knowledge of it being DOA.

It sucks for you but it would seem both parties win with that kind of settlement. GL on resolving this issue.
