seattle red light camera

i heard somewhere that the camera tickets aren't a traffic violation and it's just 101 dollars?

Yes, for administrative legal reasons. That way, like a parking ticket, they can go after the owner of the car without knowing or caring who the driver was.

According to this it's treated just like a parking ticket and doesn't go on your record.
