[QUOTE=PedalFaster,Oct 22 2009, 09:26 AM]Not sure why you're upset by my response or think it's unhelpful -- I actually think it's both more correct and more helpful than your post.

[QUOTE=PedalFaster,Oct 22 2009, 09:10 AM] Junky, your statement is also overly general.

The Miata is his. He co-drives the Lotus in autocross (you can say he owns the tires in that picture).

Junky, I don't know why I'm replying to you since I have you blocked.

You're saying "Do X" and asserting it's correct without knowing details of his setup. Since I don't know his setup either, I'm providing an iterative algorithm which will get him to a good balance. I'm not saying the car will work or won't work without a rear bar, but trying the car without a rear bar is free, unlike any of the other solutions that have been proposed.

About having David's car in my signature -- it's what I autocross, so I don't see what the problem is. My signature says "I race", not "I own these cars". Would you criticize Jensen Button for putting a picture of the Brawn F1 car in his signature because he doesn't own it?

Having said that, my plan for a while has been to expand my signature to show more of the cars I've autocrossed in the past.

His spring rates are 10k front and 12k rear. The aftermarket components are the Tein Flex. An EDFC was installed at one point, but I don't know if it is still on the car.

Pedalfaster is providing the same advice I provided over PM. As usual, Junky missed the ferry and is stuck at Assumption-JUNKtion. Carry on.

I don’t know why you have me blocked or who you are, but I can tell from your responses on this thread that your very sensitive and your stature easily threatened if your blocking me.

Nice one Jerry

All I can say is I'm happy to not be a fairy

If those are his spring rates then he would likely be better off with the factory sway bars on that year, if he is aiming for a more balanced handler that is. But its all speculation until you drive it and see, so lets not forget that detail no matter where the advice or info is coming from, there are other contributing variables in the equipment too.

Just to add, If you can drive a car and pick it apart to see what it needs then that says something about the driver, not everyone has that aptitude or sensitivity, I don’t know if the OP will ever figure out what he needs to do in that regard since I don’t know him so all that’s left is some educated speculation/advice unless someone wants to go out and work the bugs out of this car for him.
