what to do ...

Wow. Of course they tuned it for what you have. That's what they have to do! They can't throw in magic numbers that say "Turbo! New! Shiny!" in there. They can't tune for something that's not there.
Jesus.
And Yes, dump the EMS. Sounds like you don't need it if you think a NEO will do a better job than what you have.

dang chris, sounds like you've been around the block when it comes to afr. Maybe I should buy the parts and you can hep me with the rest. LOL
LOL he must've read it wrong. I said I initially bought it, thinking i'd go turbo. I didn't tell them to tune it for a turbo either. Even the shop that recommended them said to take it back. Even carbconn themselves said it may not be correct and to bring it back. But it's ok. Anyone willing to diss someone that they know nothing about or even has met obviously has something else that may be bothering him/her. This topic is really about me wanting to learn more. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know everything there is to know about the car. Buuuuuut, since it seems noisemaker DOES I'd be more than happy to listen to your knowledge about my problem.
So yeah, i was probably harsher than I should have been, but S2000Junky nailed it above. You already have the EMS, why would you dump it for a lesser solution?
...and you're the one claiming they tuned to what you have to make you keep coming back, as opposed to the reality of the situation which is that they tuned to what you have because if they didn't, you'd be doing exactly what you're doing now... complaining that your tune is wrong.
If I owe ya an apology for the tone (and i think i do), I'm sorry. Your ideas are way out in left field. What mods do you have anyway that nessesitate a reflash/tune/adjusting the stock AFR curves? If you're considering dumping the EMS for a Neo, i can't imagine there's much, but please, educate me about your car.

as for the comment about how they tune it so you'll come back, I actually said what the shop told me they were notorious for doing. I'm somewhat new to Seattle, so I don't know how things run here. I pretty much did everything the shop was telling me to do. I tell them I want this, and they tell me I should get that. Sometimes I agree with what they say, sometimes I don't. However, I take what they say with a grain of salt as well. I know it's their job to sell sell sell. It really didn't make much sense to buy an after market ecu without anything beyond your everyday bolt ons (which is pretty much what I have) However, they did a before and after dyno (a bite more than just one "after" dyno) and they basically squeezed out about 5 more hp. Other than intake/exhaust I really don't have anything that'll make a huuuuge difference. That's kinda why I'm not sure why ever since they did the tune I've been running rich. One of the guys did tell me that they wanted to keep the car a few days to run it a few times, but said I'd be fine. The one thing I made sure to tell them is that I want to be able to pass emissions. Being from Hawaii this whole "emissions" thing is new to me ... and I've heard some crazy stories about how it can be a pain in the butt to pass. I myself had a 91 integra ls when I first came here and it didn't pass four times in a row. lol
