WTB: 2001 S2000
Wyatt,
Have you found the "Cars for Sale" forum hidden inside the "For Sale" section? There's quite a few cars listed there that are not much more than a day's drive from here.
I bought mine from a private party in San Jose. I took off with two friends after work on a Friday and picked it up around noon on Saturday. I came back via the Golden Gate (blue skies and Blue Angels - Airshow day on the Bay!) and US 101 and I was still home by about 5pm on Sunday. You'd have a little farther to go, but if you fly in on Friday night, you'd still be home early on Sunday.
I'll send you a list of parts and some links to some photos. I really haven't decided what I'm going to do with the car. If I find the right co-driver for next year, I'd like to continue autocrossing the car. But if I can't find someone that can tow the car to events for me, I'll probably sell.
Andy H.

17 or 55, what virile, straight male wants to be known as a Miata owner?
Go for the S2000. It's a little roadster, but has go-fast cred. Bought mine when I was 22. I crashed it a couple of times and ended up totaling it.
No REGRETS. Huge fun. But getting the S2000 now is diff than getting the S2000 when it just came out like I did.
No longer a wow car, but still satisfying.
Time to move on for me, but still gets my recommendation.

Hey Wyatt,
I have a 2002 Suzuka Blue (20,600 miles) for sale. Let me know if you're interested in hearing more.
The car is in excellent shape, but needs a set of tires.
