Heeeeeeeeeers pictures!
These are from the first two days of shooting. We've had bad luck with the sun so far; mostly cloudy but sometimes not in a good, interesting way, but in a light quenching way. Hopefully, this will clear out soon. These images are all pretty much straight out of the camera (Canon 5D Mark II) because my G4 laptop slows to a crawl with the size of these images.
Had to tiptoe through some Prickly Pear Cactus to get this one:
Balanced Rock:
Courthouse Wash:
More pictures to come. Gotta get some sleep.

Fresh out of the camera from this morning:
Taken at Dead Horse Point. Titled "Sunrise at Larkin's Garden" because someone a long time ago carved the words "Larkins Garden" in a sandstone boulder just to the right of this tree. I say a long time ago, because the sandstone has been eroding away around the letters.
The print version of this image will be a composite of several exposures I shot to capture the full tonal range of the scene (not going to be an HDR). This single image comes closest to giving the sense of what the scene looked like.

Steve... I missed your first post that you were sick -- but so glad to see that things turned around for you.

I think the final version will be made from a layer stack of several exposures. I need to clone out the idiots sitting on the rocks at the upper left. This image was taken while I was surrounded by about 80 people. Regulars to Mesa Arch said that was the largest crowd they had ever had to put up with. Sigh.
This was a very satisfying, and tiring, trip. I'm in Salt Lake City now, flying back home tomorrow. Too tired to do more than surf the web.
