How do you get images OFF the camera

Remove and read seperately.
I just never liked having the mini usb attached to the camera. I guess it came from the early days when that process took forever and chewed up batteries. It also lets me put away all my gear except for my cards when I get home.

I repeatedly scream and yell at the memory cards until they do what I tell them to and if they really dont listen, I give them the finger and tell them that their mother was a class 1 card that used to drop packets! THAT usually works.

In the past I've used the card and a card reader. When I picked up the 7D, I switched to using the camera to connect directly. It appears to work faster, which is important when unloading 32GB of information.

The only reason companies include the cable is so that you can take it home and use it immediately. The idea of needing to charge ones batteries to offload cards is nuts.. moreover if your camera is faster than a card reader, you have a hardware problem with either the reader or the computer interface.
