Default memory card to hard drive without computer?

is there a way to transfer pictures from memory card (cf card) to a hard drive without connecting to a computer?
because I'm going on a trip and might not have access to a computer everyday..
please let me know if there is any device that can do that.
thanks

You want a USB OTG (On The Go) device like this, along with a memory card reader

http://www.card-media.co.uk/super+x.htm

This is a UK site, but a quick google will find you a US based supplier I'm sure.

Last summer I purchased an Epson P-3000 from the manufacturer's store to try on my Alaskan vacation (they offer no questions return policy). This is a portable card reader/HD/viewing monitor device, similar to the Wolverine and others. I also brought a portable USB HD, as the Epson allows transfer/copy to an external drive. My intent was to have duplicate copies on HDs as I wiped my CF cards. However, I ran into some periodic difficulty with the Epson recognizing the external drive. Some days it would, others it wouldn't. So when I returned home I returned the Epson reader, explaining my difficulty with connection to the secondary drive (that was one of their selling points for their product).

Other than that, the Epson is a nice product. Very good viewing screen (high resolution) and can recognize and view the embedded jpeg within a Nikon NEF raw file. Transfer speed was reasonable enough for my needs. But the device is rather pricey, even for all that it does. There are some online shops that primarily rent lenses that also carry these readers if you're interested.

It also reads canons raw format, I mine. I have not had the same issues with the hard drive compatibility mine has worked flawlessly.
