Paramount flashcords has an excellent selection of flash cords.

Looks good, but on their site, it says "Sorry, this product is currently not available."

*edit* There is no way as an electronics moderator, AND a Jew, I'm paying $130 for a wire.

Is there a real difference between a Canon cord and an Ebay one? The ebay ones are $30 for 48", which is fine for me. All it is, is a metal contact, so I cant fathom spending that much on it.

Take it you dont fancy paying for a remote trigger?

I picked up a ST-E2 from Fleebay recently? Not used it much but I plan to have a play later in the year

Im not sure if I will be doing a lot of strobe photography, so I'm not going to invest in pocketwizards just yet. I want to be able to handhold my 580EX off to the side for some creative work, and the canon 2' cord doesnt cut it.

Whatever, forget it. I might as well burn a tad more money. So...for now, which pocketwizard model do I want if I want to control one 580EX?

they seem to do the same thing, its just a matter of how "advanced" you want to get.

if I were buying a set, i'd get the "plus II" the price difference between that and the multimax is huge and I question if i'll be able to use the advance features just yet.
