Default Photos from Mid Ohio

So...

I was at Mid Ohio this weekend for the Indy/ALMS race and I had the opportunity to finally try to take some race photos... I had my 18-135 f2.8/5.6 kit lens so I was pretty limited with where I could shoot from but this was my first attempt at trying this... (with the D80). I did borrow my friends 70-200 f2.8 a few times as well (wow, that's a nice lens)... but for the most part, I tried to use my own.

Please be nice... I'm still new at this.. (and man..is it hard to shoot.. )

I also have a question.... Here are two pictures.. same location... which is considered the "better" photo..I know that "better" is a subjective term (I've polled people at work and it's split 50-50...) but I was just curious... is the background TOO blurred in the second photo?

This IMHO is one of the few times where it isnt the photog, its the gear. Your shots are good, but your lens just cant do it. Time to jump on the spending train. Its ok though, there are lots of us on it.
