it was one of my choices..
but one thing i know.. AWD launches hurt your car lots!!!...
i have never been a fan of MAC strut either..
its will always be double wishbone for me no matter what./.
its a nice package and all. but a STi to me.. isnt very professional in business terms .

I have to agree with Doodlebug on his points above. The STi is a completely different beast than the S2000. The STi is much like the S2000 in the way it thoroughly thumps it's much more expensive competition, I have a hard time directly comparing the two as they share little in common. Do people actually cross shop the two ? Sub $50K, 4 doors, AWD and the ability to achieve 100 km/h in a mere 4.6 seconds out of the box, me likey. I have a soft spot for horizontally opposed engines and love the thump, thump only a boxer can provide. Mate the boxer to a Supersprint exhaust and . The S2000 never ceases to put a smile on my face however, I wrung mine out yesterday and it felt like the first time.

Brady,
Can you obtain financing from across the border? And wonder if you can take advantage of the lower finance/lease rates and rebates down south (if applicable)
Anyhow, $44K all said and done for a new STi is an amazing deal!

This is how it should price out right now:
Price of car - $32,295 USD - $39,312 CAD (does $32,295 include destination?)
Duty (6.1%) - $2398
GST (7%) - $2752
DRL's $100
other misc. docs $200-300
$44,862
This is of course assuming you paid MSRP, and I'm sure you can get a grand or two US off MSRP.
