Default Berk HFC

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has ever installed a Berk HFC (63.5mm) onto the stock ap1 manifold. The reason I'm asking is because my mechanic installed mine last week and it seems to leak from that connection (fumes in the cabin). He used the stock donut gasket with the stock spring loaded bolts. He said that the stock gasket was not the best fit. I was wondering if anyone used an alternative type of gasket or had any suggestions for this fitment issue(I don't know if it matters but I am running a Toda cat back exhaust).

Thanks in advance

berk usually supplies gaskets with HFC/TP. You will get fumes like most ppl complain about.

I have had both the 63 and now the 70 and had the smell on both until recently with the donut and new bolts all around. It is still faintly there, but basically gone.

Where did buy the gasket? The dealer wanted 55, online ranged from 20 to 50.

I think a new gasket may work since it is somewhat of a crush type gasket where the seal is made. Are you sure its not just the stronger smell of a HFC? cuz they do smell a bit stronger than the oem cat just by design.
