Default Calling all lowered S2k

Hey guy and girls

I am trying to see how much cheaper it would be to do a group buy on T1R rear bumpsteer kits & drive shaft spacers.
Rear Bumpsteer kit retails @ 450.00
Driveshaft Spacers retails @ 120.00 - 180.00

Quoting AJR
"The T1R anti-bumpsteer kits replaces the the rear toe rod of the S2000. By replacing it, it solves two of the most common problem of the S2000 rear suspension: It reduces and nearly eliminates potentially dangerous bumpsteer in cars lowered up to 2.5-3 inches. It also allows independent adjustment of rear toe, camber and the rod leveling. The T1R anti-bumpsteer kit is made out of A6061 forged aluminum with high tension spherical bearing for quality assurance. Available for 00-07 S2000"

I have gotten the quotes for the driveshaft spacers also

Quoting AJR
"When lowering a S2000 , its driveshaft angle will definitely need re-adjustments due to the modifications applied, in this case, the lowering of the suspension. This is due to the fact that lowering a S2000 creates unwanted space in between the driveshaft roller and spider (inside of the driveshaft), causing the inboard joint to unevenly wear out. With the installation of T1R Half shaft spacers, it will prevent the driveshaft from losing its regular position and it is highly recommended for any lowered S2000.

Made out of CNC machined Forged aluminum for strength and durability. Comes with HIGH-TENSION STEEL bolts and nuts. Special innovative design for easy installation unlike other brands that required to remove the entire driveshaft.

Recommended for high performance street driving, Auto-X and racing. "

I am trying to find 10 or more guys and girls to do this group buy. I will check the cost and only after I would need a deposit of 100.00 non refundable dollars to assure no one backs out.

I think we can do it either a combo or seperate
PM ME ! I want cheap parts, but i need 9 more guys haha

My reading of the CSCC rules indicates that I really can't modify the rear suspension and stay in AS category. Am I wrong about this?

I'd like to see the cost on the bump steer kit before committing.

The spacers I'll live without, look at this link:

I don't think I have had any issues with bumpsteer either, but would be interested depending on price. I think we should all setup a group buy to save on shipping for the CR's steering rack though =)

You can't modify the front or rear suspension at all, other than to replace the shocks (with OEM or aftermarket). The dampers (shocks) must mount in the same locations as OEM and the spring perch must not be adjustable so as to change ride height. As well, the springs are not allowed to be changed, even for other OEM's unless they are the same year (same spring rate). The only decently affordable shock you can use on an S2000 in AS is the Koni yellows. Beyond that, you are getting into $1000/corner and up for Penske's etc.

You can also change the front sway bar under SCCA's ruleset in stock category. If you plan on running R-compounds (which i wouldn't recommend unless you have a year or two of auto-x or track experience) you will need a bigger front bar as the rear inside tire tends to lift in corners, making your LSD act like an open diff.

Regarding the original topic; after reading up a fair bit on the diff spacers, i don't think i'd bother spending the money on them as they seem to be totally unnecessary.

Thanks -- nice to know I wasn't misreading the rules. As you suggested, I have no plans on running R-compounds for a year or two.
