Oopsie.

No second party + no injuries + no damage to civic property = no increase in insurance IF you can cough up for the repairs to the car yourself.

So if I claim this on insurance, I'll see an increase? Damn...

Hopefully I have some good news tomorrow from the dealer

Maybe you may be able to convince Ian and T&T to do the repairs under warranty

Haha, I'm not that shady...

so far we're up to $3500 in parts. Insurance is definitely involved at this point...

Update: I'm feeling a bit better about all of this today. I get a rental car this afternoon.

Small list of notable parts that are being replaced:

exhaust - $1125
wheel - $740
tire - $370
rotor - $140
hub - $160
caliper - $370

in total over 20 parts are being replaced.

about 5k in parts + 1k to paint + labour.

They'll assemble it all, see if the car runs, if not... time for a new differential, too.

Good news is that (to my suprise), the local Honda dealer will only let their senior technician work on an S2000. I talked to him for a while and I'm feeling fairly confident that he is more than capable to do a great job on my baby.

Yeah and that's with a "deal" - Retail is $920 or something insane. Retail on the tire was $540, too.

Hey Mike,

Time to go for some "cheap", light-weight, custom-built competition wheels.....like 9 lb. Kodiaks for $500 or so, eh? Keep the expensive stuff on the street....

sorry to hear about the car. was wondering why i wasn't seeing it at the store. the technician at the dealer seems to be a decent guy. i believe it will turn out right the first time. how is the wear on the other rear tire. given the deal might want to consider replacement
