I'm not so sure that price is a "deal". Blaskin & Lane in Calgary has been selling rear SO2s for $350.00 each "regular price".

Hope your insurance company does not ding you to bad. Let me know if I can help. Might be able to get you a better deal on parts.

If I had the option I would have just had the car transported down to you, but they wouldn't pay for that

Thanks for the offer though.

Any word on my hardtop?

sorry to hear about the car. was wondering why i wasn't seeing it at the store. the technician at the dealer seems to be a decent guy. i believe it will turn out right the first time. how is the wear on the other rear tire. given the deal might want to consider replacement
I'm just going to go with one new tire. I've only put about 5,000 KM on them, and it's been mostly highway.

It appears the pricing is in retail land not surprising since it's an insurance claim. Not heard anything on the top but I will ask today. Best of luck with the repairs.

Update: Went into the dealer today to check on the car. We're about a week away! I can't wait to have my baby back.

Picked up my car this afternoon. They did a good job on the repair, however, they managed to curb my front passanger wheel - Bastards.

The passanger door still needs a paint touch up, but that should be done in the next few days when the shop calls me to drop it off...

Car needs an alignment, too (very, very minor), but i'll wait until I get it down to T&T to get the hardtop installed.

T&T just got a state of the art alignment rack. I'm going to have my car aligned very soon . Let you all know how it turns out.

koala, late, but sorry to hear about your mishap.

i'm VERY surprised (actually, downright shocked) that you didn't have to replace the strut or spring on that corner...interesting...

have a friend drive behind you as you're driving down the street....he/she will be able to see if the rear is in alignment....and how the car sits (relative left to right).

regards-
