Default Damn Cops! -- Asif Excluded

Excluding Asif of course but I am miffed about how lame some Cops are.

I was driving home from the womans place, normal speed of course since my rear tires are bald and showing some steel belt fibres. Anyways, i turn down my street and again drive normal to my house, as soon as I pulled over to go into my driveway, I look behind and cops without lights suddenly turned them on. I pulled up on my driveway and waited for them to come have a chat.

The discussion went like this.."license & registration."
"do you like going fast?" I said yes.. on some occassions.
"well..do you know you were going 75 in a 50 zone" I said, I know I wasn't going 75 down my street. ...they go on to say...
Well, we were doing 75 and we didn't run you over.... Well maybe you were way behind and trying to catch up....
They took my information..checked it and then return to say...okay we believe you.. then got in their cruiser and headed off like nothing happened didn't say anything else..

Nice excuse to pull me over at least they could be honest and said..oh, we just wanted to give you a hardtime since we think you stole the car or you're a punk...

Shit happens. I was on my motorbike some years ago and was pulled over near the airport. They wanted to see my "paperwork". Maybe I was "moving it" a bit faster than I ought to have been. I think it was a veteran cop with a rookie lady cop and just wanted to see how she handled herself on a "safe" stop. Took a few minutes of my time. No biggie. For all they knew, I could have stolen the bike. If it were stolen, I'd like to know they'd stop whoever was driving it. They did say, "thanks, nice bike" before letting me go.

I know that cops don't have an easy job with some of the stuff that they see, but sometimes you just have to shake your head!

think they just pulled me over since they thought I was pulling to my driveway to getaway from them somehow. Whatever the reason, that was a dumb pull over.
Whatever, they know they were in the wrong, that is why they took off without saying anything.

smell ya later...

First ticket ever - years ago - 33 mph in a 30 zone! - I asked the officer if it had anything to do with the car I was driving (a 1968 Pontiac Firebird with a High Perf. 400 straight pipes and huge rear tires) He said yes - and gave me the ticket.

A month later the judge got mad at the cop for wasting the courts time!

Before my S2000 I had a black 98 Prelude SH, tinted windows, etc. Driving through downtown calgary, I came to my underground parking lot and signalled to turn into the ramp, I got out to use my card to open the garage door and noticed a cop at the bottom of the ramp. He told me to get into my car and pull back onto the street where he proceeded to give me a ticket for not wearing my seatbelt when I pulled back onto the street. No other ticket, no mention of why he pulled me over. It got tossed out of court as well. Funny Iused to get pulled over monthly in the prelude, have had the S for 18 months now and been stopped once, because my buddy's hat flew off while driving down Mcleod trail in front of a cop.
