Default Spark Plug TSB in Chicagoland...???

So, has one of you guys local to Chicagoland been talking to your dealer(s) about getting the TSB done? My dealer is giving me the run-around (at least that's the way it feels), so I am looking for alternatives. If you have already identified a dealership that (a) knows about the TSB, (b) is willing to perform it without asking too many questions, and

I got mine done yesterday. They said its a spark plug update. they fixed the clicking from the rear too. And the regulator for the window. I went to Schaumberg Honda. I'm glad they fixed my car cuz I'm going to Route 66 in 5 hours (crap I need to go to sleep).

Did you get a letter from Honda beforehand, or did they do it on their own? Did you have to ask for it?

Nope, no letter. I had to ask for it. Then they had to check my V.I.N. to see if my car was included in the update.

Community Honda of Orland Park (where I purchased my vehicle), should be getting the kit in by the end of this week. Tim Williams (service manager) said that they have been getting a lot of calls for this. He said that the amount of kits they get are in proportion with S2000's they are allocated.

I'll be calling on Monday to schedule my visit. I like going to Community Honda because....the service manager is very knowledgable...and you get to watch your car get serviced.

Good luck...more later.

As a follow up for all you Chicagoland owners....Community Honda has the kits in stock. Please talk to Tim Williams, he's the service manager their. He has an British accent, so you can't mistake him! I have made my appointment for today. I'll keep you posted on what happens.

I am new to this but what is this all about? I have a 2000 Silverstone S2K with approximately 5500 mi. Should I get a letter from Honda regarding this matter?

I called AHC today and found that TSB# 02-042 is being sent out to S2K owners. Since I bought mine in Loves Park, IL and now live in Glenview, any suggestions as to what service department I should go to? The closest ones are O'Hare Honda and Castle Honda. I refuse to go to Schaumburg Honda because I absolutely hate the Rohrman group.
