Good lord! Looks more like January than July!

Say, was any of the hail large enough to cause hail (not flood ) damage to the cars?

What the! Is that flooding mixed with hail? Never seen that before.

I also heared that West Edmonton Mall was evacuated because of flooding.

That's the 1st thing I was wondering was damage to other cars from the hail. I know of at least one guy who already had a minor crack in his window but after being hit by hail, it expanded quite a bit.

Yup, West Edmonton Mall is now officially WET Edmonton Mall! The place was FLOODED!

That was one helluva storm you guys had. Having said that, I'm wondering if Calgary weather has been responsible for a greater dollar value loss to the insurance industry both in any one single event and in combined loss over the last few decades.
We've had extensive hail damage in the last dozen years resulting in immense claims for building and vehicle damage. I am also reminded of the huge storm resulting in that devastating mud slide of around 1980 in Ranchlands where the mud carried things the size of travel trailers over 6 foot fences. One of my houses back then was a mere 1/2 block away from that mud flood. And how about that nearly 2 feet of snow in a 24 hour period that year in May of around 1990?

I know that one of the local Acura dealers is having a "hail of a sale" this weekend. Wierd because its on the south side and my dealership in the west end had no real damage to speak of, yet most of the worst of the photos are from the west end of the city.

We're seeing so many flood damaged cars being written off, its shocking. My roomie's STi was nearly one of them!
