[B]OnTheGo (Greg) is looking into a season's "wrap-up" drive/meet. I'm waiting for him to finalize the route after he's investigated it.

Hi gang! Just back from holidays. Spent a few weeks exploring, once again, the back roads of southern B.C. Had a blast! This little car is perfect for cruising twisty, secondary roads. It really comes into it's element out there, rather than driving around town and commuting as you all know!

As far as a plan, it seems that there is already a consensus. I love the road through Banff- Jasper, but it does involve a days drive. The scenery is awesome as fall colors are beginning, and some of the vantage lookouts are spectacular. At the half way point, one can turn eastward,(at Saskatchewan River Crossing) and head for Rocky Mountain House. The drive along the turquoise blue waters of Abraham Lake, are as amazing as Lake Louise. I've already completed the Banff/Jasper drive twice this year, but would love to cruise it again should anyone have the time.

If you think this can be done with a "reasonable" departure time, have stops for pics, lunch and have me back by 5-ish, I'm game. If not, we'll have to see if there is a new consensus and those who can, go with that.

Mmmm,

Calgary -> Canmore -> Banff (can we go on Mt Norquay?? ) -> Lake Louise -> Rocky Mountain House -> ????

after that, I'm assuming we probably countinue heading eastward to Highway 2. And then I'll be splitting from u guys and head north back home while you guys head back down to Calgary.

Just a thought..
