Seks: what about the handling difference? S2000 being an FR car, it should react differently than a MR ( midengine-rear wheel drive). I know FR cars are rated as best for driving pleasure, so I just want to listen to your personal feeling about it.

I have noticed about the same thing for the last 12 months in Calgary. I have found out people usually bought there MR2 out of town ( usually from Vancouver/Toronto )

Unfortunately I'm not a hard driver at all. So I don't really go around ripping corners all the time. I have yet to meet up with the cowtown guys to go for a drive in the mountains to find out the potential of the car.

Welcome aboard! Technically the S is Mid engine but it's front mid instead of rear mid. You'll find the tail is a lot more prone to stepping out than the MR2 but it's quite controllable and just a little lift from the throttle puts it right back behind the front wheels. If you get a 2002, it's more of an understeerer than a neutral handling car (The 00 and 01's are more neutral)

Hope you get one and enjoy the heck out of it!

Highway 1A, Cochrane to Canmore. Like 70 real corners! No room for cops either. I've been taking different cars down that stretch of road for years.

Awesome stretch. Did it about 20 times this summer.
