Leasing a different car UPDATED
Thanks guys!
I love the way everyone can come here and ask questions and seek guidance.
It is to bad that there is still old school thinking and that women do not know anything. I admit some really don't, but more and more women are buying cars and are enthusiasts.

all you can do is speak with your pocket book.. anyone that's in retail knows they have to remain competitive, which means taking care of existing clients while also taking "advantage" of new markets... so if it's 10 years down the road and Dilawri is closing their doors wondering why they had such a huge drop in traffic, it's because their client base shifted and went somewhere else as they didn't meet the needs of the people coming in the door.
Is there a BMW dealer in Saskatoon? Maybe it'd be worth the drive for warranty work...

Wow.....unreal! At least everything worked out in the end....
BTW, if you want to unload your car, try leasebusters.com
My buddy got rid of his 06 330I pretty quick on there.
BMW Canada charges $500 to process the transfer and the dealership will also gouge and charge $500 as well. The dealership can waive the fee, depends on your relationship with them.
If you offer incentives to the buyer, let them keep the security deposit and if your lease terms are attractive (low payment, low % lease rate) it all helps.

Guess what? I had the same issue with another one of their companies last fall.....Dilawri Acura (which is in the same building as BMW). I was told when I bought my 2005 RL that if the vehicle needed service that a loaner is guaranteed (either an MDX or a TL). As it turned out they were unwilling to give me anything. As I dug into things I found that it was because I bought the car at Silverhill in Calgary and not at Dilawri. I contacted the Head of Customer Service for Honda/Acura Canada. I guess Dilawri was chastised for the the way with which I was treated. After reading your issue with BMW, I thought it seems very similar to what I went through. I think this stems back to ownership. It probably also explains why no original staff are left at BMW since you bought your car.
I do have to add that since my problem, Dilawri Acura treated my wife exceptionally well when she had a problem with her MDX.

I had a problem with Dilawri Acura too... took my CSX in there for an oil change last summer/fall... they said it'd be about an hour... came back 3 hours later, wasn't done yet... then they finally get the oil change done and insist on washing my car, I said don't worry about it as I needed to get out of there but they absolutely would not let me leave until it was washed (another hour).
To top it off the swirled the shit out of the paint.

wow. getting to big for their britches.
It shouldn't matter where you buy your car.
I dunno. Anyway, my mom and dad were looking at an Infinity G35 AWD last week. Dilawri owns Infinity. Anyway they buggered around to long, couldn't get their numbers right, each day the numbers were different. So the just picked up a Lexus RX350 yesterday. Nice car! and the best thing is the Lexus dealer is not owned the AJ Dilawri.
