Racing tracks in Alberta?
Pardon my ignorance but...
Are there any racing circuits/tracks in Alberta??? Been playing PS2 GT3 the past couple of days with the logitech wheels/pedals so it's starting to get to me about driving A REAL CAR at a REAL COURSE
Not talking about racing with other cars where there's a chance of you hitting one of em. Just going solo on the track.

Not far fetched at all. The Miata club here in Calgary does it all the time. A couple of us actually talked about it at our last dinner meet. You don't need to rent for a whole day. A couple of hours is plenty.

I did a lapping day with the Honda guys last spring at Race City - there were 3 S2000's (all silver) I think it was $70. if I remember right.
A guy rolled his BMW M3 in the midle of turn 2 - and remember kiddies - Race track + fast car + not typical driving conditions = NO insurance coverage on you or your car. THINK SAFE - BE SAFE.
That said I still spun my S off the track in the carosel - stabbed the clutch to keep it running - dumped the clutch to spin it the rest of the way around and drove back on the track - I guess racing karts HAS taught me something!
ITR_Gary was there too.
I still have pictures somewhere.

mmm, more cars = more chances of hitting each other. I think 2 cars is more than enough.
Anyone willing to call and find out? Or I can do it since I'm not doing anything

I've run on this track (with an old RX7) and I think you could easily get away with at least a half dozen cars on the track at a time. We had ten cars on the track at a time with no problem. Plus, you're going to want to take breaks, so you've got room for 6 cars on the track with 6 cars waiting. We'll never get 12 cars together for this, so I don't think having too many cars is a concern.
I'm leaving for vacation in two days and have a ton of stuff to do before I leave, so if nobody else wants to check, I can check into cost, availablility etc. when I get back on August 12.
