HondaGal - Why not come up to Saskatoon? I hear you are apparently as "bad" as Asif about keeping your car clean?

We wont be out too late on Sat. night either, especially since I'm barely leaving Calgary at 6 PM... I'm sure I wont get there til 10-11 anyway

I am super anal about my car so therefore I would get it dirty

If it was an afternoon even I might consider it. That is past my bedtime.

What if we did up a meet between the people here and the people in Sask and met about 1/2 way, like in Medicine Hat (for lunch)?

Louie, let's wait to see if HondaGal replies to this idea. Can you get in touch with SuzukaMark and PM him a link to this thread so he can give his input too?
Then, I'd like to leave it to you to put down all the possible dates that you have free to do this trip. (I'm headed to the west coast the last week of August so that's out for me.) Then I'll start a new thread with those dates to see how many Alberta guys can make it to Medicine Hat (is this about 1/2 way?). My working shifts are on a staggered basis so there's more chance that I can be compliant with your schedule.

Can we try for the first 3 weeks of August? I suggest we leave our respective homes early enough to make it to M.H. (or wherever we decide is better) by around noon for a lunch and gathering afterwards and maybe a short cruise nearby.

(I have a feeling that HondaGal won't like all those bug splats on her S, though. )

The hat is quite a bit closer to Calgary than Regina.

You might consider Cypress Hills, which is 30km south of maple creek (very close to 1/2 way)

I've never been there, but it's supposedly one of the nicer parks in SK. (like that means anything! haha)

Here's some info on the park from saskmotorclub:

and some pics of the lookout area at the top of the winding road (we have roads here that aren't straight?!?)

I'd be interested in meeting provided a date is set far enough in advance...

How are the grasshoppers around there? I was is Saskatchewan last weekend with the CRV. We took Highway 9 to Kindersley and it was like driving in a blizzard.

ws2000, of course we can have Cypress Hills as an option. Once we can ever set a date, we'll try to make the meeting point more equitable.
woodson, I recall doodlebug went out that way last summer. When he got back, he posted a pic where the front of his car looked like a blend of Silverstone and Spa yellow. Anyone who goes will be wishing they had my rad bug mesh.
