Guys, I am sure you've all have had your first oil change already, how is the oil consumption rate now as compared to when it had the break in oil from the factory?

Mine has about 2000 kms since the change and it has only consumed 0.15 Litres a drastic decrease since I went through 2 Litres with the factory oil.

Since having my first oil changed, I've been vtec'n a lot too so lack of vtec can be ruled out. Just curious if you guys are seeing the same decrease in consumption.

Adam, hope you are checking your oil regularly.

 

Used 2.5 quarts prior to oil change at 5000 miles. Since then 0.75 quarts over 3000 miles.

 

Danny don't worry, Dave checked it for me yesterday and I put in about half a liter, going to check again to make sure that my reading is right

 

I just added another quart yesterday. I have 9,000 miles on the car and it has consistantly used one quart every 1,700 miles - like clock work. I thought it had slowed down dramaticly at about 8,000 but I was wrong. Its running through oil at a steady pace of 1 qt/1700 mi.

 

Car's currently at 6282 right now. Oil change was done at 4965. I've VTEC more now than before I had my oil change. So far, the level on the oil dipstick has dropped very very little.

 

with 2000 kms after first oil change...I have put in 3/4 of a litre of oil

 

I added 1 litre in the first 6000KM and have added maybe 1/4 litre in the next 3000KM. When I get back I will be able to change my oil to synthetic.
