Just got my recall notice from Honda Canada and have ordered a new set of taillights.

 

Got mine too...maybe I should call and have mine ordered?

 

Doesnt' apply to 02-03 does it?

 

Are your tail-lights faded?

 

only 2000's are affected

 

I got mine.. I only have 9700KM.. the car is parked in the garage all the time.

What is thre reason the side marker lamp and reflector fade? Or what is the cause? Just curious is this is something I should consider.

 

I think it may be due to UV light fading. If you park the car outdoors a lot, then it might be more suseptable to this fading than if your car was parked out of direct sunlight most of its life. And I don't think this happens to all cars of that vintage. They may have had a bad batch of red lenses.
Ask if there is a sort of "statute of limitations" on that letter you got.
