Default tear on convertible top

hey guys i know this is a common problem.. and pe ople usually just swap out the top.... but i dont really want to spend that much on a vert top... rather spend it on something else...
but is there any other fixes to this?
i was reading like a patch on the inside would work on keeping it from spreading... maybe from a convertible specialist or something? any reccomendations would be awsome
will it get worse....
here is my drivers side... it has been like this for a while... the inside u can see the hole better because of the light on the outside... but there are marks there.. but it was taped down... to see if it would hold it together a bit better
i wil end up replacing the top in a year or so for a glass window top

but then lately i just realizied my passenger side is doing this too

Jason, I would try taking it to DeGreeve auto upholstery. They do many convertible top replacements/repairs and I am certain they can help you with the top.
