What a pisser Dylan. A quality shop will probably charge $700+ to fix something like that, looks like the wheel arch got knicked too, make sure they blend panels for you. Was the driver counting sheep ?
I wanted to take it to Maranello but it seems like such a hassle to get it down there... so I'm just going to go with the main shop my mom sends all of her clients to (she's a claims adjustor). Hopefully it'll come out like new!
Dam! i know how you feel just like the truck that backed into my front end at the gas station going like 5km/hr the most and caused over 3g's of damage.
Ouch! Yeah I'm not sure what this is going to cost. Hopefully going to find some time to get an estimate later today or tomorrow. Still need to file a police report, too... ugh
Wow, body shops are BUSY! Earliest I can get my car repaired is April 17th. Should I be worried about the metal rusting between now and then?
Dylan,
Probably one of the busier seasons for body shops I'd say, what with Spring just around the corner.
I wouldn't worry too much about it rusting in a month. Just keep it clean and dry as best as you can, despite the road conditions.
If you are overly paranoid, clean, and dry the area, mask it up, and spray a coat or two of primer on it. Watch for overspray mind you. You dont want the primer going where the body shop won't be repairing.
If it were me, I'd just keep it clean; I'm sure it will be fine.
