I first saw then at the NAIAS in Detroit last year! There are a decent amount of them here in the east! Although I haven't driven one I have talked to many owners and they mentioned how much they love them!

I test drove one, great value for a SUV. Probably the best all-round deal out there. My gf just bought one, should be here in two weeks.

the FJ is like another cult car similar to our S.
Go test drive one, it is a great SUV.

the only bad part is that there are tonnes of them on the roads now. I see about 7-9 FJs a day here and they started selling in April 2006.

I found the interior of the FJ rather smallish (and dark). Great vehicle if you want true off-road ability, some towing capacity and don't need much cargo space. I would rather have an Element which is far more spacious and practical, a true 4X4 is something I would never use. The new four door Wrangler might be worthy of a look whilst considering the FJ. Jeep builds great 4X4's.

Well sure, as long as you don't care what it looks like.

The FJ is no beauty either, form follows function.

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but IMO the FJ doesn't look too bad for an SUV and the Element looks like the epitome of geek/dork.
