my car is locked up for the winter. It is still licensed but I have another run about car. It saves the wear and tear of the winter.

xviper from Calgary is running this winter.
Louie from Saskatoon is running this winter. He also just had an accident
VTECTX.. Asif, Calgary but I am not sure if he is driving it or not.

If you are able to have a second car, I think this is the best solution. If not, then make sure you gett he right tires.....

Asif has his car under a blankie for the winter.
David, mine is a 4 seasons car. I'm surprised you couldn't find the proper size snow tires locally. I have the Blizzak MZ-01 on the back and Goodrich Winter Slalom on the front. Do you not have Blaskin & Lane (Bridgestone) and TireCraft (Goodrich)?

Re: Winter tires, thanks for your replies

What I actually bought was four Yokohama Guardex 600's.
I bought through my Tire Craft Store, got the proper size as stock front and back, total cost including taking off old, install and balance inc taxes was $757.18.

Lets me have fun all winter when I'm not out on the snowmobile!

Yes my car is stored away for the winter. Only 1487 KM on it from new! (Dave is probably rolling his eyes calling me a wuss right about now)
Although today was great..7C and sunny. Good enough for some top down action.

Hi, Everyone!

This is Louie checking in from Saskatoon. Honda Gal, I think it is a great idea to have a'prairie group'.

David Doer: I have Bridgestone Blizzaks MZ-01s and am driving my Suzuka Blue all winter. Am happy with the MZ-01s. You are right-they were hard to find. My tire dealer had to bring it in from Edmonton.

As Honda Gal indicated, I was rear-ended Dec. 31 and am still getting over it. This accident was not a result of winter- The other driver was inattentive. Road conditions were good and in broad dayligh, t in stalled traffic. This could have happened in the summer. I am getting the adjuster to assess the damage Monday.

Good to hear from you all. I'll check on this forum often.

Later.

Louie

I have been lurking here since Christmas and am ready to place my order for a red 02 S2000. It has been a great source of info and I'm glad to see other Canadian owners on here.

Woodson,
Welcome to the growing list of S2000 owners on this forum that are, including myself, from Calgary. I look forward to driving/meeting with you in the Spring. XViper, and Skitzo are also from Calgary, and we often meet for drinks and a conversation every now and again. If you are interested in joining us, let me know, and I'll keep you up to speed with our next meet date. Also, if you need a good deal on an 02 S2000, let me know as I have some (very) close connections at High River Honda.
Let me know should you require anything, and once again...Welcome !
