Where to buy diff fluid?
Anyone happen to know where I could pick up Mobil 1 diff fluid?
I just checked this thread : https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99211
The Huskey station doesnt seem to have any? Anywhere I can find some suitable diff fluid locally?
Thanks in advance

Since it's my thread you linked, I will respond.
I purchased several bottles from that shop only this past spring. Are you sure you have the right place? They don't always keep it with their other fluids. You have to ask for it and they get it from downstairs.
It the little white square in this map:

Zoom out to see where it is in relation to everything else.

Funny, I was just posting about this in the Under the Hood forum:

Last spring I went to that station, but it turned into a cardlock location. As I stated in my thread on the UTH forum, I've looked just everywhere (in Edmonton at least) and no one carries Mobil 1 gear oil.
I think I'm going to try either the Amsoil (I think Partsource carries this) or Redline (MoPac has this for sure).

Just talked to a couple of PartSource locations. They regularly stock the Amsoil. I'm gonna snag some tomorrow I think.
The Redline comes in with or without the friction modifier. Apparently, the friction modifier's only required in clutch type LSDs, not in torsen types. Doesn't hurt to have it in there though, but I guess one should snag the Redline without the friction modifier.

Be careful with the Motul. I know some people have posted using Motul's Gear 300 in their diffs, and its GL5 rating is correct, but Motul says it's not suitable for LSD equipped diffs. I also read one post last night about a guy having noise issues with Gear 300 in his diff. That's pointing me to Amsoil or Redline.
If you're going with Motul, use the Gear 300 in the tranny but use their PA 90 (75W90) for the diff. That's the stuff that's designed for our cars. I've got both sitting in the garage, waiting for my lazy ass too put them in. Speedtech in Edmonton should have some of the PA90.
