Default Woo Hoo! Snow!.... not

just got my winter tires put on yesterday just in time for the nice dump. bought kumo's KW17's. got out this morning and my driveway was a sheet of ice and inclined too.... no problems backing out. got on to the road and it was all ice too did a hard brake and to my surprice no sliding. a little slippery starting off from a stop but i'd expect it from a rwd. good price. to mytires.

I wouldn't have gotten to work this morning without them.

Made it home on the night it snowed. The S02s can handle slush alright. Compact snow was another story, good thing I didn't stop or getting started would have been a problem.

I am going with the Kumho KWs on Saturday, at least $100 less per tire than the Blizzak LM-22s. I think Contemporary Motorsports has better prices for them than anywhere around.

Why not? I just keep the top up.

I used to drive my Miata in the winter - not bad at all....with winter tires. On the other hand I distinctly remember driving up the Fortress Mtn. road with the OEM summers in Dec. 1990.....and passing a stuck 4WD van!

By the way Fortress is open again this year in case anyone hasn't noticed.

Was out in the slush/snow myself last night, had to smile when I blew away a Toyota Forerunner from a light with ease....... No-seasons/whatever OEM and 4WD do not equal 4 snows (mainly this factor of course), RWD and good weight distribution.

Oh, I wouldn't brag too much yet.......the sun should be gone for you for the most part until March any time now!
