Default Z-PC

My car has really bad swirl marks in it. These were present when I took delivery of the car (I've caused some over the time I've had it, but the majority was done by the PDI at the dealer).

It's always really bugged me. I had looked into buying a porter cable, but I was nervous about spending a couple of hundred bucks and screwing up my paint. Fast foward to last week, and I did some reading on Z-PC, Zaino's actual swirl remover (does not mask them, like Z-5).

Today I got to work on my car. Washed it with dish washing liquid, clayed it, then washed it with zaino car wash. Dried it with my new big blue microfibre towel (works 100 times better than a cotton towel or a chamois, I never had to wring it out), and then put the car safely in the garage.

Z-PC has what Zaino calls "diminishing abrasives," - as the name implies, the abrasive component slowly stops cutting into the clear coat as the product is worked.

I was still nervous, so I never used this product to it's full potential (you work it until it turns into white dust, I decided to just work it to a thin consistancy and then buff it clean. Even doing this, WOW! The results are amazing! Most of the fine scratches and swirls are gone. There are still a number of scratches in the clear coat, but I'd estimate that Z-PC got rid of 60-80% of the scratches and swirls.

When I buffed the car clean and did a quick spray of zaino quick detailer, the car had a shine to it that it has never had, EVER. This is without any form of polish or wax on it, at this point.

So now, I'm just waiting for my first layer of Z-2 Pro to cure, and I'll see what kind of difference it makes in regards to shine... but I'm "sold" on Z-PC.

Order some Z-PC if your swirl marks are getting to you. Some of you guys with black cars could really use this stuff

Koala, I doubt my next car will be black because I have lived with swirls on two black Honda's already.

I am surprised you can see the swirls in that white S2K and am more surprised you didn't try the PC on a relatives car first. Mighty confident!

I tried my PC using 3M SMR on the wife's black Civic and then on my black Integra with excellent results for the first few months. It seems the swirls come back so I believe there must be some masking ingredients in there as well.

I would like to hear a long term report on the Zaino Z-PC, perhaps next May or June. I hate to think swirl removal should be a yearly chore.

Still haven't found the need to "risk" the S2000.

A little bit swirly - Bobby,

That's how bad the swirls were. It was actually pretty unacceptable. I know that in the future, I'm only taking delivery of a car with all the packing materials still in place.

The only area that really didn't see improvement were the line of scratches caused by hitting cone(s), they're a bunch of horizontal scratches that run along the fender below the S2000 emblem). But they're not even noticeable unless you get a light down there.
