Default S2000 stereo pics

Here are some pics of the stereo in my S2000. Not shown are the Kenwood Sirius tuner and controller hidden under the passenger side seat. I even used the stock hole in the carpet to run wiring. I placed the antenna at the corner of my trunk next to the FM antenna- under the trunk the reception was spotty and I do have a hardtop.

I'm VERY happy with the sound right now. People who like smooth tweeters should be big fans of the -6db setting. Medium tweeters = -3db. MB Quart style tweeters = 0 db. The bass from them is quite good, although any 6 1/2" speakers getting 150 watts per side will probably have a lot of bass! I think I

In the pics:
Eclipse 8443, Zapco Studio 300x, Oz Audio Matrix Elite 180CS, JL Audio 4 gauge wiring kit, Modifry DCI, Monster Cable 400XLN 6' long RCA, Pas2knut amprack, Lucid door adapters, !Walmart speaker wire and battery terminals! Total retail on all of that was around $2400. I spent about $1300. It does everything I wanted and more!

Nice pics! I can't wait to see and hear it in person. You plan on attending the event in Breckenridge?

Very nice and clean install Tim. I never thought about mounting the amp sideways like that.

Great Job!

Thanks! With the Zapco Studio series, since they're so long and thin, that's how I've mounted them twice. I did the same sort of thing on a diagonal panel I built into the left side of the trunk in my Monte.

Glad you finally got to try some out! I showed up in Breck all day Wednesday, but I've had to work ever since.

Two new ones. I bought this for about $250. I don't think I could have found something better for anywhere close to that price. It sounds very good, but you really have to cross it over low(60 to 80 hz on the Eclipse HU) to avoid boominess.
