AP2 Bumper Cover On AP1
I am debating on doing an AP2 bumper conversion but I want to do it right. So the question is does the AP2 front crossmember bolt on to an AP1?
Parts List
AP2 Bumper Cover
AP2 Fog Light Inserts
AP2 Fender Liners
AP2 Under Tray
AP2 Syrofoam Impact Buffer
AP2 Front Crossmember

There are numerous threads on this. Do a search. I don't know if the AP2 crossmember fits on an AP1, but if it doesn't, you have to cut the edges of the AP1 crossmember or it will poke dimples in the bumper cover.
If you haven't figured this all out yet, send me your email and I'll send you a whole bunch of info I compiled for my body shop before I did it.

Cutting the bumper support beam is easy. I was able to do it with my dremel and a cutting disc. It took about an hour tops, but only because i cut too little the 1st time. If i did enough the 1st time it would only have taken about 30 mins. Mines been on for 2+ months now, no dimples in the paint.
Also ap2 fender liners are not necessary, theyre nice for attaching the bumper to all the splash shield holes, but i was still able to attach 4 screws on the ap1 shield/liners. Fixed the rest with zip ties, and its very stable.
The only things you actually need are the bumper, grill and tow hook cover. Im assuming you mean the black part of the bumper that are to each side of the grill when you say "fog light inserts". Those are part of the bumper, people just tape them off so they remain black after painting.
Just trying to save you some money.
