Average costs for new paint

i'm about to go do this myself but for 5000, i'll rather use that money for other goodies on the car. 2500-3000 sounds reasonable for a good paint job that is the same color.

Yeah, I'd rather get it wrapped the same color, so when you open the door/hood/trunk its still the same color. And that costs $ 1,500 or less that lasts at least 3-5 years with warranty and with the rest of that money, it would do into other things.

No. Only reason I wanted paint costs was for the same color. I wouldn't go another color.

My total came out to $7,000
That includes:
That includes:
- Full respray (Grand Prix White)
- Prep, paint and install body panels (front and rear bumpers, wide front fenders, spoiler)
- Widen rear quarter panels (using EK fenders)
- Shave side mirrors
- Install side diffusers, mirrors, wheels, misc.

you paid for the body work and not the paint job
with the s2000 there is no roof or glass to worry about tape lines with. its a fairly easy car to prep and paint compared to the rest of the cars out there
i would say $2000 for prep/paint would be a good price and should be great quality. add more if body work is needed

What area do you live in? I had mine done for under $2000, but that included the labor of repairing a dented rear quarter panel, installing and fitting new front and rear bumpers, installing a rear wing from a damaged trunk to a good trunk, OEM CR lip that was of a different color, headlights, and a rear tail light. I left my hard top Berlina.
