Default Black Chrome H Emblems

Anyone know where to get the old style black chrome H emblems? I mean the ones that are just like the oems only a darker chrome. I purchased these a few years ago for my previous S and loved em. Now it seems all that is available for the "black chrome" H emblems are these ones that are a chrome H with black fill, NOT what I want on my white car. I want the old ones I used to have on my 06 BB...

Just FYI these are smaller than the OEM AP2 Emblems.

Yes, they are a little bit smaller than the OEM emblems. I can snap a couple pics of them installed if you're interested?

Is there an easy way to get the OEM silver ones off?

i have the other type for my berlina (the one where the black is filled in), and I got the same time again for the CR... The one from the htguy link looks similar to the '00, '01 badges that game with the S (before they supersized the H badge )

I'll try to wiggle the badges off this weekend and see if it comes off easily...
Thanks

Mocky,

First mark the location of the front and rear emblems with a piece of masking tape, heat the emblem up with a hair dryer to loosen the double stick tape. Then use some fishing line or dental floss (I like fishing line, it;s easier on the fingers) and using a sawing motion work it under the emblem and cut through the adhesive. The emblems will come off, then all you have to do is remove the remaining adhesive. This can be a PITA, use a Goo-Gone type remover to get the remaining stickiness. Hopefully your locating tape hasn't fallen off to mark where to put the new emblems, have fun!

you can take your old one off, spray with primer, and pick a nice gloss paint, bake it, then repeat. You can also try a headlight tint on it to get that chrome effect, but I haven't tried this. There's a youtube video on it. About taking the old emblem off, I twisted the plastic clip that held the emblem without a problem. I didn't even heat the glue up, it came off pretty easily with some dental floss. 3M makes some thin adhesive tape, I don't recommend 3M glue at all.

It matches my CR emblem, so I like it. Looks crooked, but it's not.
