Default Bumper Tab Relocation

Hi guys,

A question about rear bumper tab relocation. I'm gathering bits and pieces of information here about how the bumper tab location is different for AP2s. I have a 2004 AP2.

I'm running a semi-aggressive setup in the rear (conservative to most of you), and right now, when looking at the bumper tab location, I do not see how it would rub. I'm running +54 17x9 in the rear on a 255/40 tire and will be running on recommended settings on HKS hipermax III. So not too crazy in terms of ride height and offset.

I've had the rears rolled up at a 45 degree angle as I've been told that this would suffice for my setup, and I'm not too fond about doing a full roll if it's not necessary. I understand there's also a part to trim where the bumper meets the fender, and have not done this yet.

Am I good for what I've done so far? Or will i need to do more?

TIA.

Well if you want to you could just try just driving for a bit and seeing if it'll rub. If it doesn't then you're golden, if it does then go ahead and relocate the tab and trim the bumper.

I'm running 17x9 +45 with 255/40 tires and I had to roll the fenders all the way (completely flat), relocate the tab and trim some of my rear bumper. I'm at about a finger or less gap right now.

Relocating the tab isn't hard, just need something like cutting pliers, dremel and a drill.
