Help with a scratch
Hi all,
I'm a new S2k owner and since I've bought an AP1, I need to sell my '08 Corolla. I hope it is okay to ask for help about a Corolla here, but I figure this is a general body repair question.
Anyways, my car has the following scratch (see picture below) on the bumper. It seems to be mostly on the surface and I was curious if I can repair this sort of thing myself reasonably. I just want to fix up the appearance enough to sell it, I'm not looking to make it like new, if that makes sense. Someone told me I need a fine cut cleaner, but I'm not quite sure about that and wanted to get some opinions on what I should do.
Thanks for the help.

Most of that is indeed paint off another car. I tried a lot of things on my girlfriends car that had a similar problem (claybar, rubbing compound, etc.).
In the end, the only thing that worked for me was rubbing alcohol and a clean, cotton t-shirt (to rub it). I washed the side of the car first, then dried, then rubbing alcohol onto the shirt and lots of rubbing back and forth. Then watered down the cleaned-up spot to minimize the alcohol killing the paint.
