Default Hole From CD Changer

So it appears my S had a changer in it at one time. Anyway I have a hole where it should be mounted on the driver's side trunk floor panel. I dont plan on using that location and I dont know what or how to seal that hole from the elements im afraid of getting rust.

Do you think rust should be a concern?

My major concern is the possibility of rust what do you think the chances of it rusting are after patching it? What kind of silicone did you use?

sand down around the hole, bondo from the top. then i used regular clear silicone on the underside of the car. got it at home depot. then you can paint it if you would like with touch up paint. this will definetly prevent any rust from forming.
