Default Hood not flush with bumper

Hello,

My hood is not flush with my front bumper. I set the hood latch to the lowest setting and took off the hood bumpers and it's still sticking up about 1/8". I even dremeled the hood latch holes so that it will sit lower so maybe the 1/8" will disappear. I met up with a friend and his 2005 hood was flush perfectly against the front bumper.

Does anyone know what might be happening. The car has never been in an accident according to the carfax and previous seller.

Thanks.

Some pics would help out a lot.Try visually inspecting the striker bar on bottom of hood and where it bolts up and insure that the platform is level and not deformed.Otherwise assuming that the front bumper is exactly flush with the fenders, the only other point of concern would be the radiator bracket that the latch bolts to.Insure there are no deformaties. That said, this front end, although maybe not traceable through carfax, has likely suffered some trauma.

Damn...

I have an appointment with minitoyota on Monday. He said he'll take a look at it also. I hope it can be easily fixed.
