All of the holes on the bottom don't line up 100%. Some people were able to get 3-4 bolts in, then the rest they just use zip ties and don't have any problems. My car is currently at the body shop getting ap2 bumpers, and I can take some pics of what they do once I get it back. I just told them to put whatever bolts they can in, then I will take care of the rest, and i'm just going to use zip ties on the rest.

Hmm...Im looking for a perfect fitment. There is a great setup under the car as far as controlling the wind under the car. Specially in the front end. I would REALLY appreciate it if you could send me some shots or post em whichever is easier for you. It would add to this already great post!!

Yeah, I was going to do the splash shield also so it lined up 100%, but for almost $200 it isn't going to really change anything honestly. I should have my S back in a couple of days, and I can get you some pics posted up asap.

hi, i have just completed this "mod" a week or so ago.
The problem is that the AP2 front bumper is a bit wider at the bottom.
So, the bolts on the central part will line up perfectly (about 6 bolts)
but the bolts on the sides (about 4-6 bolts) will not line up. The bumper holes are farther away from the car, since the bumper is wider.
What I did was cut small pieces of plastic (2 x 4 inches, approx), drilled 2 holes in them and used them as brackets.

one hole fixes to the bumper, the other hole fixes to the undertray.
some ppl leave these 4-6 bolts missing, but the guy who sprayed my AP2 bumper said that if you leave so many bolts missing, it MAY crack the paint, over time, due to excessive movement.

^ Thanks for confirming that. They will be good even if you just zip tie the rest, it will keep them in place just fine.

Also it is true that if you just left the bumper all loose and it vibrates a lot, it can get spider cracks in it. It actually cracks the bumper, and then shows through the paint. It will take a lot to get our OEM bumper to spider crack like that though, and the zip tie method seems to work fine.

How is it holding up? How long have you had it?

holding fine, it's been done since May but the car is garaged and not daily driven, especially in winter

honestly I'm not going to spend a couple hundred dollars to buy new ap2 fender liners and clips if zip ties will work just fine. If I come across a part out and they're cheap, I'll consider it, but in the meantime, this works.

Honestly, for those who are still going to do this, it's really easy to just cut small pieces of plastic or Aluminium ..
I'll try to take a pic later to show what I did exactly.
