light dimple in bumper
Any one has any experience using heat to massage out a shallow dent/crease/imperfection from front bumper.
Not sure how I manage to get this dent although it's almost unnoticeable on a GPW I can spot it at angles and in certain lighting conditions. The paint has no cracks from dent, it's the only dent on my S.
This weekend I will clean my CAI filter and try to use heat to massage out the bumper dent. It's very minor and I could probably live with it, but I want to see if applying heat to work out the dent will work since I'll have the front bumper off anyways.
I plan to use a heat gun and heat up the bumper from the inside very carefully without burning or bubbling the paint or clear bra.
Should I go ahead and try this any one with experience please chime in. Ive done a good hour search on google about this and some say it works and few say it doesn't. Also, they said PDR isn't as effective on ABS/polyurethane as on metal portion of the body.
I may just live with it for another 4 years if my clear bra goes yellow or cracks, then have my bumper repainted and re apply a clear bra again.
Thank You in advanced!

you'll be fine, we just had a discussion about this with another guy that some of us body repair guys told another guy what to do. Start slow circles from the outside and heat up plastic around so it will be flexible and won't crack, then start spiraling into the middle of the dent. Then push it out and when you get it where you want, splash it with some cool water and it'll hold, it's called (shocking) the fender
