Massive hail damage

I went to auto trader and found not one s2000 below $9K. I will be sending in the comps and they can see that this car isn't an accord that is a dime a dozen. The insurance company couldn't even find enough comps to use their own rules about location.

you could also show them what an 8000 dollar S looks like to help get your point across. craigslist is full of them.

Getting my S back tomorrow. Quite excited. It's had the hail damage for about a month. I took it to what I believe is the best guy in NC to do the repair. Not sure if him charging my insurance company for $6,500 worth of repairs is fair for paintless dent repair..................... for 1 1/2 days work and no parts/materials..........? but I guess my rates shouldn't go up since it was a 'natural' event under comprehensive coverage.

I'm assuming this repair would show up on a a vehicle history report (like carfax). Should I be going to my insurance company for a depreciated value claim?
