Default Noticed Velcro Sticking Out By The Window On My Top, Need Help

hey everyone. got home from a drive the other day and noticed a piece of Velcro sticking out of the top near the back window. See pictures. Looking at it, it appears that the stitching has ripped and that's why its sticking it. Not sure why there is Velcro there or what purpose it serves, but that's neither here nor there. Now I just gotta solve the issue so it doesn't keep popping out. Any suggestions?

I originally thought it was there to prevent the the soft top from hitting the glass window so I replaced my velcro strips but the adhesive eventually melted causing the strips to come off again so I left them off and have not had any problems since. I see now that some folks claim that the velcro's original purpose was to hold some sort of temporary protector over the window during delivery from the factory.

Yes, correct JulieU. According to Billman.

EkaL86 and Grip Hrd - Grab a hold of the velcro strip and rip it out.

I had the same problem for years and saw Billmans post and just did it yesterday.

Edit - Oops saw your other post and saw it was resolved.
