Default Painting Polyurethane Front Lip

So I just ordered a polyurethane lip off ebay, and I will be ordering paint for it very very soon.
This is the lip that I ordered: eBay Lip
and I will be ordering the silverstone paint and clearcoat from Automotivetouchup.com as "suzuka-blue-s2k" suggested.
Thank you for all your useful information btw.
But my question is that I found a brand new can of "Duplicolor Filler Primer DPP104" in the garage, which i bought before and never used it, will this work with this lip? I searched around and read a few descriptions and still not sure if I can use this.
Thanks to any help!

Hey man, your welcome for the info. I just received my extra can im going to use for touch up's. In this body section look at the topic I made called "Paint slightly darker than OEM wheels?" I took a pic of the cans it comes in if you want to see. Also I dont see why that primer wouldnt work. Just spray it on with really light coats and get it smooth as possible. If there are any marks in the primer it might show up in your paint. So just make sure its smooth and I dont think you would have a problem.

You'll need a plastic adhesion primer. I wouldn't suggest using that can stuff for you're lip. That's something you could have sprayed for about 100 bucks, not worth throwing you're money away on the spray can paint then taking it to a shop to respray and cost you even more.

The description says "Dupli-Color Filler Primer is ideal for use on most metal, wood, and fiberglass materials." So I was just wondering if it'll work for this lip. Is fiberglass and polyurethane similar? and if I go this route, its just gonna be around $40 and I dont want to get it professional painted ans waste $100 cuz i kno that im gonna scrap alot. Thanks for the input

No they arent in the same ball park. You should be able to find something called bulldog at O'rileys autoparts, it also comes in a spray can. You need this on top of the normal primer. Get some comet and a gray scotch bright ( can be found at the same auto parts store). Scrub the part with the comet and grey pad. Then wash clean with water. You'll then need a cleaner, if you have ammonia free Windex it will be fine. Next use bulldog, then the grey primer and your spray cans. Should hold for ya.

Damn thats more confusing than I thought. I thought it'd be easy like primer, paint, clear.

Any time plastic is painted it needs an adhesion promoter, Mechanical adhesion isn't enough to bond paint to plastics. If you're looking for someone to tell you it's okay, then why don't you just use it.
