Default Question re: Soft Top & Door/Window Trim

Hi all,
I have (hopefully) two small things I want to address. I'm a new owner of a 2005 S2K. Did all the maintenance (via Billman) and am just enjoying the car for the rest of the season.
First: one of the previous owners must of decided to use some type of silicone to address a minor rip in the soft top. Here's a picture:

It's ugly. Do I have any options to address this, other than replacing the soft top? Patches? IDK. Just trying to weigh my options. Soft top replacements seem expensive and I'm trying to put that off.
Second: This trim is falling apart on me. Here's a picture:

I'm just looking to replace it. I've used either HondaAutomotiveParts or HondaPartsNow to order factory items, just having a little trouble confirming what the exact part number is. Looks like it's 72375-S2A-003.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Patching or sewing the top is the way to go... you'll need a new one eventually but see how long you can get out of that one first. I think my first top lasted like 6 years or so, by then had a few rips. Replacing is inevitable if you have the car long enough.

Regarding the molding, you're looking for this. That rubber trim is connected to the outside window molding. I replaced them on both sides recently. Super cheap, easy fix. And it's a pleasant one that you notice every time you get into the car. The new molding actually seemed to have a more flat look than the molding that was on my car. So either they changed it slightly over the years, or my molding was warped and changed over time.

Thanks so much for the molding link, really appreciate it. i'm ordering it now, along with some other factory parts.
Do you have any recommendations on patching or sewing (guide maybe)? Never dealt with a soft top before so this is all new to me.

You're welcome. Once I replaced one side it wasn't long before I replaced the other side. The new side looked so good.

Use this guide to replace, it'll take you 5 minutes: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-mo...lding-1085317/

And regarding the top, I just went the ghetto route and dealt with tape on the inside until I replaced it... but this thread might be helpful for a more permanent solution: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/oregon-s...atches-953212/

A vinyl patch with a strong adhesive should do the job. If you don't trust yourself, an auto upholstery/top place can patch it up for pretty cheap.
