Top not going down smoothly
Hey all,
Recently I've noticed that my top doesn't always go down smoothly, going up is fine. It seems to be moreso in the morning, when the weather is a little cooler. I'll be putting it down, it'll get to the point where it's no longer over the seats, and it'll get stuck for a moment. Sometimes it will be brief and then keep going down, others I'll let go of the switch, then press it again and it will unstick and go down all the way.
I don't want to get a tear or anything so thought I'd ask for things to look for. Does soemthing need lube maybe?
Thanks for the help!

WARNING: Until you replace the straps press the second bar down and assist it as the top is going down. If you continue doing what you are doing now the bar will catch on the front latches and rip your otherwise good top over the front two latch positions.
Ask me how I know.

Well damn, that got expensive lol. I ordered the new straps and while I was doing it, I figured I might as well by the Sony dci module and cup holder with bracket that I've been thinking about over the 3+ years I've owned the car. $20 turned into $200 real quick lol. Oh well, cheaper than repairing my top. Verified yesterday that it was catching and it was the bar as mentioned. Just glad no damage had been done yet.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
