Default Undercoating

Did some stuff today. I bought 2 cans of undercoating spray in an effort to reduce a bit of noise in the cabin. I simply couldn't believe the amount of built up dirt in there. 10 years of road grime/dirt and caked on like WHOA. Nothing a wire wheel couldn't handle and shortly after a quick blast with some air, it was ready for sprayin. Results weren't huge, but certainly noticeable. I can hear the tranny noise way more now At the very least, it looks REAL damn good in there. I also painted the rear clappers to match the fronts I did last year but was too lazy to do all 4. They are just simple black and boring and I didnt remember to take photos. It looks real clean and nice in there. I also picked up more wheel paint since the wheels are looking mighty rough now and getting a dingy yellowish tinge. I've thought about powdercoat, but it costs a ton and I'd need a spare set of wheels since I dont have a daily. Maybe next time.

Looks really good! I have the same issue with MY01 GPW S2000 as well. What did you use to spray thy wheel wells? I like the finish. Its like a flat/satin black almost.

I used some 3M undercoating spray. I used an entire can on each corner.

A little. Nothing I'd rave about though. I think most of my noise comes through the floor and of course the trans tunnel where "ol' buzzy" resides. If I replaced the clutch and added sound dampening under the carpet, I'd bet it would be a huge improvement. Im also getting a lot of tire roar with my ES100s. Never buying those again for sure. Back to RE760s for me.

Well done. I'd like to do the same to mine this winter. Rubber around the fenders, and por-15 on the frame.
