upper trunk black molding removal?

can anyone tell me how to remove this ?

It unfortunately is not easy to do. You have to remove your soft top tray behind the seats, remove about a dozen nuts that hold the brackets and drip rail in place before you can access it. I might be forgetting a few things but good luck.

Dreading doing this myself too when I paint quarter panel and then wrap car.

i didnt paint but i wrapped it while it was on i used knifless tape and a good chizel to tuck worked out

OH! So you just left yourself like a 1/4 inch of extra material and tucked under? Tedious but makes sense. Good to know! Thanks for sharing.
