Default 2000 AP1 sway bars in 2004 AP2?

Hello,

does anyone have experience with 2000 AP1 sway bars in the 2004 AP2?
I run Ohlins 10k/10k and I would like to reduce body roll without compromising the balance of the car too much. My ride height is 13" from hub to fender all around.

In theory this should work, but I hope somebody already did this switch and could report some results.
Thanks.

Yes in theory it would. It would be a typical sway bar combination if say you were running a wider then stock front tire or "square" set up. If your still running a stock or staggers set up then id recommend running the 02-03 rear sway. It basically splits the difference for the rear giving you a good balance while stiffening up total body roll. 00-01 rear sway is rather brutal. Though on an ap2 chasis it may be tamed a bit with the rear toe geometry improvment. Its not a hard swap, you should just experiment and see what you like for the rear. The 00-01 front sway is a no brainer though.

I already have the excel sheet for calculation.
That's what I came up with and which made me go for the 2000 AP1 sway bars.

Acc. to the calculation my original 2004 sway bars would result in an overall balance of 54,3% / 45,7%.
If this is correct, the rear 2000 AP1 sway bar does not have such a huge effect. And it will even tend to understeer a little more than with the 2004 AP2 sway bars.

I am just looking for some real-life feedback.

No it will over steer more with the 00-01 rear sway.

So, you think the calculations are wrong?
Did you try this on an AP2?
